Pirates: Facts, Figures & Fun by Iain Zaczek

This book was published in 2007. Anne Bonny’s father is William Cormac and they live in Charleston, where Anne hangs out in taverns dressed as a man. Anne’s husband is named John Bonny instead of James. Jack Rackham is Charles Vane’s quartermaster on a ship called the Independence, which he takes command of after the mutiny. His clothes are described as “garish”. Zaczek says that Jack never captured “a major prize” but he does capture the vessel carrying Mary Read across the Atlantic.
